I thought I was buying a product made in the USA but when I got the peel, it said it was not made in the USA. I was sure it was…works great.
I had looked at the surprising array of pizza peels on several web sites (who thought there’d be so many types and prices?). I decided after reading reviews about this one to give it a try, and I’m glad I did. It’s made very well; it’s sturdy, and has a heft to it that’s somehow reassuring that it’ll be around for a long time. What I wanted to avoid in particular in buying the utensil was one that bent, or wasn’t wide enough. This item fulfilled those requirements very nicely. It was shipped almost immediately, and arrived safely in a well-packed box. Thanks!
The peel is very well crafted and perfectly smooth so that the pizza slides easily. The wooden cutter is easier to use and clean than my metal KitchenAid pizza wheel which is now retired.
I like the peel but still must master the transfer from peel to pizza stone in the oven. The cutter is a nice gadget.
The peel is very nice for serving the cooked pizza too.
Was a little worried it wouldn’t be sharp enough, but with just a little pressure it cuts right through my wife’s pizza.
